In 2007, acclaimed designer Troy Spurlin founded Troy Spurlin Interiors, a distinguished and award-winning design firm that quickly established itself as a pillar of creative excellence in Jacksonville, Florida. Under Troy’s leadership, and with the shared vision of his Creative Director, Alex Gebicke, the firm has created extraordinary and distinctive homes throughout the United States.
Troy and Alex share the belief that interior design and decorating should reflect the personal style and individuality of the client, with reverence to the conventions of interior architectural history. In furthering this creative mission, the firm trusts in artistic order while embracing the unexpected, culminating in homes that transcend time, at once both contemporary and classic.

Troy often jokes that he pursued Alex longer than her husband did. In fact, it took almost 5 years of asking, “When are we going to work together?” before Alex said “yes.” It was kismet. Together, they have created award-winning designs across North Florida and have been celebrated in multiple publications, including features in Jacksonville Magazine. Their achievements include a historic preservation award from the City of Jacksonville and Riverside-Avondale Preservation.
Ultimately this duo brings together over 35 years of experience in every facet of design. They have both worked for nationally acclaimed designers, with Alex refining her skills under the guidance of Jim and Phoebe Howard, and Troy gaining invaluable experience working alongside the renowned Joe Nye. Alex holds a BD in Interior Design from The University of Florida and Troy a BFA from Jacksonville University. They are both members of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and The Institute for Classical Art.
